Velux Blinds

What better way to add style and colour to your room than by fitting a VELUX blind? A wide range of colours and designs make it easy for you to add that fabulous final decorative touch. Whatever type of room you have, VELUX has an option that will allow you to control incoming light in just the way you want. Using only the finest materials, VELUX manufacture Roller, Siesta (near blackout), Pleated and Venetian blinds to the same high standards of excellence that you would expect from any other VELUX product.

Siesta Blackout Blinds

Siesta blinds provide near total blackout from the sun, making them the perfect option for a bedroom. Even the brightest sunlight can be excluded, allowing the room to be used for daytime rest, or a lie-in. The Siesta blind features an outer aluminium foil. In summer this helps reflect excessive heat from the sun back outside the room, whist in winter, it retains the heat within the room, thereby creating a more pleasant indoor environment. The blind is located in aluminium side channels, which allows the blind to be located in any position on the window while preventing daylight entering at the sides.

Remote Control Siesta Blind

The new remote control Siesta blind is a stylish, easy-to-install unit that brings a touch of luxury to your loft room. With a smooth, battery operated motor concealed behind the fascia, the blind can be operated by infra-red remote control form anywhere within the room. Batteries last for approximately 1000 operations (one year) and the blind can also be operated manually if required. The blind is delivered in a single box, complete with batteries and installation instructions and can be fitted within minutes.

Roller Blinds

Immensely practical and with lots of decorative possibilities, Velux roller blinds are made from polyester to provide the most cost effective option for Velux roof windows. The wide range of designs and colours in the roller blind collection make them perfect for adding style and colour to your room. RNL roller blinds have aluminium fascias and wooden side lists. They are very easy to operate and can be positioned at different points on the window.

Pleated Blinds

Pleated blinds are ideal for softening incoming light, without totally darkening the room, as well as providing a soft, diffused light effect. Pleated blinds are an attractive decoration in themselves, creating an eye-catching design feature in a living room, for example. Pleated blinds are available with an aluminium backing option, helping to retain warmth within the room or to reflect excessive heat back outside on hotter days.

Venetian Blinds

Combining classical elegance with practical simplicity, Velux Venetian Blinds are a decorative way of controlling both the direction and the amount of incoming light. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth they are an ideal choice for areas of high humidity such as bathrooms and kitchens. Running smoothly in aluminium guides, they can be operated with the window opened at any angle. Venetian blinds are available with the aluminium coating option, helping to retain warmth within the room or to reflect excessive heat back outside on hotter days.

Awning Blinds

The external Velux awning blind provides effective protection against the heat of the sun, while allowing a pleasant diffused light into the room. The blind is easily installed while standing inside and discreetly rolls under the top casing when not in use. The fabric is made of weather resistant material.

Centre Pivot Rood Windows FT

Centre pivot roof windows are currently the most widely used in loft conversions and allow the transformation on an attic storage facility into valuable living accommodation. The well designed centre pivot window is double glazed, easy to operate and the two-part hinge allows the sash to be open in a range of positions, thus increasing the amount of fresh air being let into the room. The sash can be rotated through 180 degrees allowing easy cleaning and maintenance. FAKRO windows have 6% more glazing area compared to other manufacturers' similar sizes, which allows for more light into the room.

Top Hung Roof Window FK

Top hung centre pivot roof window FK has two methods of opening. The sash can be opened at angles of 10, 20 and 35 degrees allowing easy viewing out of the window especially at low roof angles. The sash can also be rotated 180 degrees around its axis for easy cleaning of the outer surface. Thanks to the unique hinge construction the pivot function can be activated even when the window is opened. The top hung windows are also fitted with single chamber, energy saving panes, with the outside panes being made of toughened glass.

Top Hung Emergency Escape Window FE

Top hung emergency escape window FE is the type of roof window which, thanks to its large dimensions and ability to lift the sash to an angle of 40 or 68 degrees, allows the user to open the emergency exit upward. The window has a centre pivot function, which is activated by the upper catch and all the windows are fitted with single chamber, energy saving panes.

L-Shaped Windows FL

L-shaped window FL is installed in a vertical wall. It is connected with a standard roof window. Even when the wall is high it is still convenient to open the roof window because the handle is at the bottom. The FL is available as opening or non-opening in PLUS and LUX versions. The opening window has to be equipped with a secure bolt, which prevents the window from opening fully. All the FL windows are double glazed, have energy saving panes and can be installed together with a roof window.

Side Hung Escape Window FW

The side hung escape window consists of all the regular roof window characteristics but is side hung to allow easy access on to the roof in the event of an emergency. Being a side hung window it can be opened to the right or to the left. The large unobstructed dimensions of the sash enable easy access to the roof and comply with Building Regulation approval.

Access Roof Light WGT

Access roof light WGT allows easy access to the roof to perform maintenance work. The window is equipped with a toughened pane. The sealing flashing is an integral part of the window. The metal handle enables tight and secure locking and two venting positions.

Flat Roofing System EFW

The Fakro flat roof window system, the EFW, combines the unique technical performance of the Fakro FTL-V window with the versatility of the Fakro flat roof flashing designed to retain a safe, secure and watertight seal. The EFW has the best Thermal Efficiency of any roof window on the UK market. The EFW is also fitted with laminated glass on the inner pane and toughened glass on the outer pane for greater safety. The EFW comes in one unit incorporating an insulated wooden kerb designed to the shape required and is available in a manual version as standard.

Conservation Roof Windows

Fakro conservation roof windows are manufactured to a very high standard. They are designed to cater for a British traditional conservation style in areas of particular need. All glazing exceeds current building regulation requirements. All conservation windows are made from high quality pinewood. The timber is double vacuum preservative treated and given a 2-coat matt finish lacquer, which requires no further decoration. Externally the timber components are covered with aluminium sections, which are coated with a UV and weather resistant coating. This coating is a traditional black colour. The different types of window includes the Conservation Centre Pivot Roof Window with its traditional look, the Conservation Top Hung Escape Window with its escape qualities and the Conservation Side Hung Means of Escape Window for easy access to the roof.
